Driving Directions

Four Seasons Guest Farm is closer that you think. Only an hour and a half drive from downtown Pittsburgh. Three to four hours drive from (metro Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, or Baltimore area) or Cleveland / Columbus Ohio areas. Four and one half hours from downtown Philly. About five and one half hours from mid-town Manhattan or Cincinnati, Ohio.

 

From The Northwest (Pittsburgh and Northeast Ohio):

From the PA Turnpike (Interstate 76) exiting at Donegal (exit 91) After toll, turn left (east) onto SR-31 and continue about 11.3 miles to Bakersville. After passing the gas station on your left, travel another 1/4 mile turning right at sign for Pioneer Park campgrounds onto Trent Road. Continue 3.7 miles to stop sign (road comes to a T at this point.) Turn left onto Copper Kettle Highway, follow it to a flashing red light (about 3miles) in New Centerville. Turn right onto SR-281 south. Go 7.9 miles to SR 3011/Markleton School Road (sign for Markleton is on right hand side of road just before the turn), turn left. Follow road out .9 miles to s-curve follow it around to the left and then follow the hard right hand turn (50 yards after first turn), go another .5 miles driveway is on the right, marked by a four foot high upturned stone with Four Seasons Guest Farm etched on it. If you are reserved for the guestroom in the main house, please park on the circular portion of the drive in front of the main house, if you are reserved for the guesthouse, please park on the paved drive to the right of the guesthouse.  (See below directions for winter driving, November- March)

From the East (Philly, NJ, and New York):

From the PA Turnpike (Interstate 76) exit at Somerset (exit 110.) After toll booth go straight to second light (.4 miles), turn right (south) onto SR-601 (N. Center Avenue), continue .5 miles to W. Main Street (SR-281.) Turn right continue about one mile, bear left, follow signs for South SR-281. Continue South on SR-281 for 16.2 miles to SR 3011/ Markleton School Road (sign for Markleton is on right hand side of road just before the turn), turn left. Follow road out .9 miles to s-curve follow it around to the left and then follow the hard right hand turn (50 yards after first turn), go another .5 miles driveway is on the right, marked by a four foot high upturned stone with Four Seasons Guest Farm etched on it. If you are reserved for the guestroom in the main house, please park on the circular portion of the drive in front of the main house, if you are reserved for the guesthouse, please park on the paved drive to the right of the guesthouse.  (See below directions for winter driving, November- March)

From West (Central or Southern Ohio):

From the Ohio line continue on  I-70 east to the New Stanton entrance (toll plaza 75). Enter the Pa. Turnpike (I-70and I-76) traveling east.  Exit the Pa. Turnpike at the next exit, Donegal (exit 91) After toll, turn left (east) onto SR-31 and continue about 11.3 miles to Bakersville. Turn right at sign for Pioneer Park campgrounds. From the Southeast (Metro DC, Northern Va., and Baltimore, Md.):

From Interstate 70,  take Interstate 68 West to Keysers Ridge, Exit 14 (US 40 West.) Exit ramp bears right to flashing yellow light (US 40 west), turn left, stay on US-40 West for 5.3 miles to PA 523 North, turn right, go 4.9 miles to SR 3047 (Hogback Road in Hardnesville), turn right onto Hogback Road, go 1.4 miles to stop sign. Turn right onto North PA-281, (you will be going north) stay on SR- 281 North for 3.8 miles to Turkeyfoot Trail Road, turn right (there is a sign for Four Seasons Guest Farm at the turn). Follow Turkeyfoot Trail Road to where it bears a hard right onto Porter Road. (If you encounter the dirt road portion of Turkeyfoot Trail Road, you will have missed the turn onto Porter Road.) Continue on Porter Road to 450 Porter Road, our mailbox with the number address is on the right hand side of the road and a three four high upturned stone with the address etched on it is on the left hand side of the road just beyond the drive way. Turn left onto the driveway. Total driving distance from PA 281 to driveway is 2.3 miles.) If you are reserved for the guestroom in the main house, please park on the circular portion of the drive in front of the main house, if you are reserved for the guesthouse, please park on the paved drive to the right of the guesthouse. 

From Southwest (W. Va.):

From Interstate 68 East to the Bruceton Mills exit (W. Va. 26 North/East. When you cross the Pennsylvania line, W. Va. 26 becomes Pa. SR-281. Continue on SR-281 north. SR-281 intersects US-40 in Markleysburg Pa. Turn right onto US-40 go about 1/4 mile, turn left to continue on SR-281 North. You will pass through several small towns including Confluence and Ursina. After passing through Ursina, continue on SR- 281 for another 3.8 miles to Turkeyfoot Trail Road, turn right (there is a sign for Four Seasons Guest Farm at the turn). Follow Turkeyfoot Trail Road to where it bears a hard right onto Porter Road. (If you encounter the dirt road portion of Turkeyfoot Trail Road, you will have missed the turn onto Porter Road.) From the North (Northern Pa, Upstate NY):

From US 219 South to first Somerset exit. Merge off highway bear right to stop sign (about 1/2 mile) Turn left onto SR-601 (N. Center Avenue.) Follow SR-601 approximately 3 miles, to W. Main Street (SR-281.) Turn right continue about one mile, bear left, follow signs for South SR-281. Continue South on SR-281 for 16.2 miles to SR 3011/ Markleton School Road (sign for Markleton is on right hand side of road just before the turn), turn left. From Seven Springs:

Turn right out of main entrance onto SR-3029. Follow SR-3029 to SR-281 (approximately 10 miles) to flashing red light in New Centerville. Turn right onto SR-281 south. Go 7.9 miles to SR 3011/ Markleton School Road (sign for Markleton is on right hand side of road just before the turn), turn left. Follow road out .9 miles to s-curve follow it around to the left and then follow the hard right hand turn (50 yards after first turn), go another .5 miles driveway is on the right, marked by a four foot high upturned stone with Four Seasons Guest Farm etched on it. If you are reserved for the guestroom in the main house, please park on the circular portion of the drive in front of the main house, if you are reserved for the guesthouse, please park on the paved drive to the right of the guesthouse.  (See below directions for winter driving, November- March)

*Please note: During the winter months please access the farm from our Porter Road entrance. Follow the above directions until you reach the upturned stone, do not turn, rather continue on 3011 for approximately another 1/4 mile to Porter Road turn right (directly after the small electric substation on the right), follow Porter Road approximately 1/4 mile to another upturned stone with Four Seasons Farm etched on it. Turn right into our entrance.
